    TOPIC : IS YOUR NAME IN THE BOOK OF LIFE?

    TEXT : EXODUS 32: 31-33, REV 20:12-15, LUKE 10:17-20

The authentic, inerrant and infallible word of God reveals that there is a great book in heaven written by God Almighty which is called the “BOOK OF LIFE”. Were the names of every redeemed and sanctified Christian who are qualified for rapture or heaven are inscribed (Rev 20:12, 15, Luke 10:20). So the great and shocking question for everyone is; “is your name written in Heaven?” (Luke 10:20, 2corinthians 13:5). Or could it be that it has been blotted out because of your carelessness?  

We shall consider this message under two sub-headings; 

THE PATHETIC CONDITION OF MANY CHRISTTIAN YOUTH

The pathetic condition of many youths is that they belong to churches, claiming to be children of God, but unfortunately and sadly, they are candidates of hell because their names are not in the book of life (Matt 7:21-23, Psalm 9:17, Revelation 20:15). Some where once having their names in the book of life when they genuinely repented but at the long run, they fell into sins, some backslided, yet they refused to confess their sins and return to the savior. Therefore their names were erased from the book of life (exodus 32:31-33).

THE DANGER AND REMEDY

It is undisputable that the soul of any youth whose name is not in the book o life is in jeopardy, because they shall be taken to hell fire (revelation 20:15) you should not be deceived by the erroneous doctrine of this era that states “once saved, forever saved” or just believe and go to heaven” (Exodus 32:33, Luke 24:46-47, Mark 1:14-15). So you must examine yourself today and ensure that your name will be written in the book of life today, therefore genuine repentance from sin so that your services to God will not be a waste. 

The remedy for sinners and backsliders is that they should repent and return to Jesus the savior now.
