MASIVE FLOOD INVADES EBUTE AREA OF IKORODU IN LAGOS STATE

In the cause of yesterday's downpour, many were rendered homeless in Ebute area of Ikorodu in Lagos State as massive flood invades the Entire subregion of that locality.
In some cases many houses were covered with water even to the window level,  cars were highly covered to the brim, properties of many were destroyed by this great flood.
It got to a stage where the area was entirely paraded by canoe conveying the affected and their properties for a fee.

From the view and report of some of the habitats the flood was caused as a result of poor drainage system in the entire environ. A woman laid a complaint that she was on her soft bed
Sleeping only for her to wake up and discovered that her entire apartment has been covered with water.

Another man in tears cried out that some of his unlaminated vital documents has been rendered useless..

The entire citizens are therefore imploring and pleading with the state government to come to their aid.

Immediately following the Rapture, there will be no true, born again Christians left on the earth. The ones left will be those that had not repented, or if they did, they turned back. They were not doers of God’s Word; yet, many thought they were saved. In some cases, their Bibles were rarely read. They never understood about making a covenant with Christ by sacrifice–Ps 50:5. Excuses and unbelief will abide with many that are not taken. They may have sung a song that said, “I surrender all,” but they never did. Many may have thought that only saying a prayer would save them, as many famous preachers said. Yet their Bibles would show this was not correct.
Immediately following the Rapture, the spirit of lawlessness will be let loose. Violence worldwide will increase and begin approaching the way it was before the flood.

Immediately following the Rapture, the man of sin (called Antichrist, and many other names) comes forth-2 Thes 2:6–12. He assumes control of the EU. He will be brilliant, charismatic and have an unusual, almost hypnotic, power of persuasion. He confirms a covenant (or agreement, or treaty) with Israel and others, WHICH BEGINS THE TRIBULATION–ref Dan 9:27. He is the son of Satan. God warns Israel, in His Word, that their agreement with hell would not stand. Israel does not heed His warning.

Immediately following the Rapture, 144,000 male, virgin Jews are sealed with the seal of the living God on their foreheads. This seal will protect them. Twelve thousand are sealed from each of the tribes of Israel. None are sealed from the tribe of Dan.

(Those days should be shortened. The Lord had shortened those days. He hath shortened the days. He will cut it short. A short work {or a shortened Tribulation} will the Lord make.) 
The entire Tribulation is a 7 year period of 360 days each, which is also 2520 days, or 84 months of 30 days each. It consists of two equal periods of 3½ years, which is two 42 month periods, or two 1260 day periods. The event that separates them is called the Abomination of Desolation (which is explained further on). However, the Lord may have cut short the first 3½ years–ref Mk 13:20; Ro 9:28, and others. This will happen for the elect’s sake, which are Jews. If the Lord had not shortened the days of the Tribulation, no flesh (or life) would be saved (or would survive). Most Jews may not understand this, until certain events happen sooner than expected. Few, if any Gentiles, may comprehend this now, or later.
This is why the elect must look for the Abomination to occur, rather than counting 1260 days from the covenant of Dan 9:27. This should be explained underTribulation Shortened.

Day one of the Tribulation occurs when the Antichrist confirms a covenant (or agreement) with Israel and others for 7 years. There are no adequate words to describe how bad the Tribulation will be. The first part will be terrifying. The second part will be even worse.

(Why Most Will Be Left Behind)

RAPTURE is a term used to describe the removal from the earth of all that are born–again, as evidenced by their repentance, love, following Jesus, and obedience to God’s Word. “Few fit this description.”
The key is devouring God’s Word daily and letting It change you. Excuses do not lead to heaven. A sinner’s prayer, without repentance and obeying God’s Word afterwards, means nothing. What is written? Repent and be baptized every one of you–Acts 2:38.

The Rapture ends the church age. The Tribulation begins soon after. Do not be deceived. The Revelation portrays the raptured saints in heaven, before the throne of God, prior to the Antichrist coming forth. 1 Cor 15:51,52–“We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment in the twinkling of an eye, at the last (that is, the second) trump: for the trumpet shall sound.” 1 Thes 4:16,17–“and the dead in Christ shall rise first, then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds.” Born again Christians will be with Jesus. All others will face the dreadful Tribulation. The number of people that will be raptured will be very small. Most that believe they will be raptured will be left behind–ref Mt 7:13,14, 21–23; 20:16; 25:8–11. People in some churches never hear the words “Rapture” or “the signs of the times.” Find a church that does teach these.

Beware: The Scriptures clearly reveal that in these latter days, “many” Bible teachers are deceivers, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. Some are famous and have large outreaches on the airwaves. They deceive many with their ideas that are contrary to good, sound Bible doctrine. Those that listen to them are not aware of them. The Bible tells us that this is the age of religious deception, when people will not put up with sound doctrine, but they will gather around themselves teachers that will say what their (worldly and) itching ears desire to hear. If you are one of them, you need to repent.

Some may wrongly believe the Bible teaches no man can know the day and hour of the Rapture. THIS IS NOT CORRECT. It is true, those not ready will not know or understand; however, those watching and ready will know. It is written–1 Thes 5:4-BUT YE, BRETHREN, ARE NOT IN DARKNESS, THAT THAT DAY SHOULD OVERTAKE YOU AS A THIEF. Born again Christians can know through the signs of the time.
Many misread the “day and hour” verse by disregarding the verse right before it. It is written: Mt 24:35,36–“HEAVEN AND EARTH SHALL PASS AWAY,” BUT MY WORDS SHALL NOT PASS AWAY. BUT OF “THAT” DAY AND HOUR KNOWETH NO MAN (the day and hour of the heaven and earth passing away, no man knows), NO, NOT THE ANGELS OF HEAVEN, BUT MY FATHER ONLY.
The Scriptures speak of 7 Jewish feast days. The Feast of Trumpets is the next one to be fulfilled. Two trumpets are blown—the first one and the last one. This is usually in September. This is the day the Rapture is expected to come. It will be within a generation of the rebirth of Israel. That generation began May 14, 1948 and could continue to as late as 2028–ref Ps 90:10. When one subtracts the Tribulation period, one can see clearly that the Rapture of God’s people is very close. The hour it will come is at midnight (Israeli time)–Mt 25:6. As it is written, AT MIDNIGHT THERE WAS A CRY MADE. BEHOLD THE BRIDEGROOM COMETH. If it would come this year, would you be ready?

Message Topic: Salvation the basic requirement for excellence.
Once again you all are welcome. The lord is welcoming you to this programme. If this will be achieved in you then you must have salvation. Again you must know that absolute obedience to the word of God is the key to excellence in life. Mathew 6:33
As we all are here this morning we have basic needs that we want the Lord to do, but I want to let you know that with all those needs that you have the basic need is the salvation of your soul.

Point 1- Salvation explained and its importance in you.
Many young people today have misunderstood the word salvation as service, as a result they believe that when they belong to a group they think they are saved. Salvation is beyond belonging to a group or performing a certain activity in church. Salvation is not man’s work for God, but His walk with God. Don’t be carried away by the work of God, but instead be focused on the walk with God, your personal relationship with God. Matth 15:9
If you are here and you don’t have a personal walk with God, that should be the first thing that you should seek today. For the greatest thing that can happen to you is the salvation of your soul. So many youths are banking on the wealth of their parents and unfortunately it goes not work that way. Salvation is the right way of living. Salvation is a necessity for excellence. As a Christian youth for you to excel you have to have an assurance of salvation. 2Cor 5:17
The moment you give your life to God the old life that you once lived becomes a forgotten issue before Go. All things will become new. Therefore, as you give your life to Jesus today, as you ensure that there is nothing that is standing between you and God then you’ll be given the power to excel. Matthew 5: 13
Let your light so shine before men. There is no way your light will shine when the Spirit of Christ is not in you. When you have the Spirit of Christ in you you will shine without struggle. Christ in you is the hope of Glory. Every other ministration anchors on the salvation of your soul. Salvation is a necessity, something sure that we cannot do without. Salvation is what Christ came to offer humanity. He died to free man from his sin and guilt. You must identify with the sacrifice that was made on the cross of Calvary, making him your lord and personal saviour. There is no way that you will excel when you have not given your life to him.
John 19: 30
There is no other sacrifice except that which is done on the cross of Calvary. This is the sacrifice that redeem man from the curse of sin and death. Luke 1:35. This verse was talking about our saviour and redeemer and his coming to redeem us from the curse on our ancestors, Adam and eve. After the fall God has been searching for who would “go for Us”? and Christ came and died for us.
Salvation can be called freedom from sin  and wickedness.
Salvation is what transforms man from darkness to light, from a sinner to a saint etc.
You cannot do without salvation. No matter what you are expecting God to do in your life, one thing is needful, i.e  the salvation of your soul. If you are here and you are not saved or out of carelessness you lost your salvation, I can assure you that today God will grant you salvation.
Many excelled in their life because they had salvation in their life. Talking about people like Joshua, timothy, Meshach and Abednego. God allowed them to excel because they lived a life of total obedience.
I want to let you know that salvation is the greatest Miracle. So seek it today!
Salvation is very needful. Somebody like Joseph who was sold at the age of 16 years was made to excel by God. Gen 39:2-
Opportunity for Him to compromise came to Him, but Joseph understood that his salvation is worth more than what anybody could offer to Him. Joseph refused to compromise His stand with God. I want you to take a sober reflection: will you defend your faith, would you stand for God? Do you know that the great things of life cannot give you salvation? This is why Joseph took a wise decision. Opportunity still exists for you to be reconciled with God. I want to let you know that the primary purpose of this programme is to make sure you are saved.
Salvation gives you an assurance of eternal life. The end of your life, how far you’ll go in life is dependent on the decision you take now. Therefore, decide now. Eph 5:2-
The grace of salvation has been made available for us today. The grace of God is what makes man different from each other. Today God will release that grace upon you and that grace will bring Salvation to your soul in Jesus Name. This grace will reconcile you to Jesus Christ, your maker.
2Cor 5:18-19 …Christ came to reconcile us with God, to the original plan God had for Humanity.
Christ is our comforter and has come to reconcile us to our God. Therefore, I want to assure you that salvation is needful. So as a youth God first requires that you be saved and free from sin. Once you are reconciled with God every other thing you are seeking will be added unto you. Also without salvation you cannot be called a child of God and even make heaven at last. You become a chosen when you give your life to God and not when you belong to a particular dept.
  John 3:3 Except a man be born again he cannot see the Kingdom of God. Therefore, you give your life to Christ today. There is no way you can enter his Kingdom if you are not born again. If you want to excel in your career and life program, you must reconcile with God now. When you accept God’s presence will surround you; you will not find things difficult and struggle like every other person.

Point 2 _ The way to be saved and our expected response.
Salvation cannot come to you except you desire to be saved. Jer 29: 13. You must see, and search for God before He can come to your life, it is not by wishing. You must be ready to drop your wicked life.
When you are saved people will see it for iot will be very evident. Our pastor once said as born again your lifestyle should speak of righteousness. So you must repent, confess and forsake all your sin. Prov 28:18 Plead for mercy and call upon God and He will grant you salvation.
Isaiah 55:6
Let the wicked man forsake his way. Renounce your wickedness and God will forgive and pardon you. I don’t know what judgement is upon you. Confess them, because those sins will stand as hindrance and to you from receiving the power to excel. So check your life now. Make sure nothing is standing between you and God. You may not know if this is the last opportunity that you may have. In a programme like this a young man came with his girlfriend. He was wanting to give his Life to Christ. The girlfriend tried to refuse him knowing that he would leave her after that moment. The young man struggled, came out and gave his life to Christ. As they were coming out from the programme, passing through the express way, an oncoming vehicle rushed at them and crushed the girlfriend to death. The lady that was killed in the accident did not know that it would be ha=er last opportunity. The Lord is calling your today to come.
Isaiah 59:18. I don’t know the load of sin you carry or the kin=d of life that you have lived, but I want to let you know that if you can make the bold step to receive salvation today God would pardon you. As you give your life to Christ the whole world will hear of you for good. Remember without God you can do nothing. When Christ is in you I want to let you know that you’ll prevail over all challenges in life. Daniel, Joseph etc. prevailed because they stood with God and refused to compromise. When you compromise you lose grace and favour and even your salvation. We usually say that a Sinner is not a Christian and vice versa. It is not by saying it, nevertheless it is a fact. Identify with Shedrach and Abednego and God will cause you to excel.
Therefore, for sinners and backsliders confess your sin and give your life to Jesus. 1JOHN 3;8.
Now if you are here and you have not given your life to Christ I want you to do something. Give your life to Jesus today. If you are involved in the sin of hatred, lying, cursing, stealing, robbing, or internet fraud, covetousness…etc al these sins are terrible sins in the sight of God. The unrighteous cannot inherit the kingdom of God. There is no gain in sin whatsoever
Jer 2:34 There is a blood of a soul shed in abortion. Let me let you know it is better for you to bear the shame and give birth than have trouble with God.
Repent from worldliness and every other sin. Tell God you are sorry. Confess everything that will prevent you from excelling to day.
